STOP THE PRESSES.

I landed a temp job, for one month, beginning tomorrow. Just in time, I might add, to keep the wolves at bay.

Whew!

Off to celebrate by getting a decent night's sleep for once. 'Night!

I would make some sort of joke about "beating (beeting?) the meat," but that would be hopelessly déclassé. I would never lower myself to that.

It's inappropriate to talk about what "nature's hot dog" is, because hot dogs exist outside nature in some sort of non-Euclidian parallel universe, and are poking their way into our reality like a beast from an H. P. Lovecraft novel.

That's why they're so decidedly phallic, you know. Hot dogs are the spectral evidence of otherdimensional entities, er, penetrating our universe. You know, sexually. So beware: when you eat a hot dog, you are snacking on Cthulhu's tasty genitals.

Veggie hot dogs should be fine though, as they are merely beets undergoing a self-improvement regimen.

what is nature's meatloaf?

An explanation of the garbled word in my post above: I tried to write declasse with the acute stress marks over both "e"s using the HTML code for that character. It worked on preview and is working in the comments field here, but not in the post. Maybe it's an issue with the template. Let's try ASCII instead:

déclassé déclassé

What is nature's meatloaf?

*Nature* is nature's meatloaf. It's all meatloaf. All of it.

haha! yep. i was thinking last night how that was actually a really dumb question, seeing as how we'd already established that meatloaf is the basic sub-atomic building block of, you know, everything.

still, seeing it put down so baldly, so authoritatively, so incontravertably - that's pretty affecting stuff. i feel like the awe-struck astronaut dude in 2001 -

"my god: it's full of meatloaf."
