Attention Voters!

I put this together for work (and as such, it's uncharacteristically non-partisan) but I thought it would be useful resource here too. This is California-specific, mostly, but it's a good starting point for other states as well. Hope this helps!

This Tuesday, November 4th you have the opportunity to be a part of one of the most important elections of our lifetime. Decisions will be made on both a national and local level that will have a direct impact on you, your family, and the future of this country. As Americans, we have both the privilege and the obligation to participate in our own governance by expressing our views in the voting booth.

Recent elections have proved to be very contentious and have reminded us of the value of each vote. No matter what your political opinions may be, let’s join together and make our voices heard this Election Day.

Frequently asked questions:

If you live in LA County
Am I registered to vote? Where is my polling place? Can I view a sample ballot?

Where can I go to vote early?

If you live outside LA County
Am I registered to vote? Where is my polling place? Can I view a sample ballot?

Where can I go to vote early?

Additional info
I’m a first time voter! What do I need to know?

Where can I find non-partisan information about the issues on the ballot?

I voted! Reward me!
*****************************************************************

If you choose not to vote early, be sure to arrive at your polling place first thing Tuesday morning. The polls are expected to be very busy and long lines are anticipated. (Hey, at least parking will be easier!)

Thank you for doing your part this Election Day and Go Obama!

This explains so much.

I just got a call from my honey on his road trip, notifying me that he was currently making a left turn at Albequerque.

Recipe!

This doesn't occupy the same universe as 'authentic' curry, but damn it was tasty.

"Dude - I thought you bought the curry sauce" Emergency Substitute*

Curry Base:
Stir fry together beef, carrots, potatoes, broccoli, ginger & garlic

Sauce:
1/2 c mayo (I could probably have used sour cream or yogurt instead...)
2 tbsp of milk
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp of Frank's Red Hot

Serve over rice, noodles, your partner... whatever you've got. Thanks, google search!

*AKA "Damn it I'm not going to the store again this week" sauce
