You said WHAT?!
Having a sleepy conversation with Fishing Mike. We were talking about how cute it was when circusfaerie was a little girl and she'd say "Hold you" when she wanted me to pick her up. *
This led into a discussion about how challenging toddlers are, and how it was a survival skill teaching circusfaerie to talk, not whine, because otherwise I would have gone batshit insane.
*When she put her arms up, I'd always say "Do you want me to hold you?" And she'd repeat back "Hold you!"
Fishing Mike: Did you just say "Done fart survival batshit?????!!!!!!!!!!"
Of course, now we can't stop saying it....

Yay!
- Happy birfday to the fantabulous Kimberly. Go over and wish her the best because she deserves it.
- Speaking of Kimberly, she was the first one to tell me about the Puppy Bowl, but I'll be watching it with the most excellent Fishing Mike for the first time this year. I can hardly wait! With the Kitty Half Time! What more does anyone need?
- Went on a mini hike at Griffith Park this afternoon and actually saw mountain lion footprints. I'm a city girl so I found this all very exciting and exotic and in my head mountain lions are as friendly as Nosy. It's fun living in my head.
- Now I'm drinking an *excellent* red wine and watching a National Geographic special involving penguins and alpacas so all is quite well with the world.
I hope everyone's Saturday night is shaping up to be just as entertaining. Good night!

OH, MY FREAKIN' CRAP
For the first time since I've been assigned this position (drum roll please) ......
MY 'TO DO' FOLDER IS EMPTY!

Now all I have left is 4 years of filing (no lie) and learning the new phone system so I can teach my bosses....
Edited to add: How come nobody told me that not doing the filing - ever - was an option?

Good News/Bad News
The good (really, REALLY good!) news is that work duties have shifted around so they're distributed more fairly and this job suddenly got very manageable.
The bad news is, one of my bosses is only a year older than my daughter.
