LESSON LEARNED! (again)
Because I seems that I only learn well through constant repetition, I've been taught again today that avoidance is not a strategy that serves me well. I feel profoundly lucky that as soon as I faced the conflict I was avoiding, it resolved itself.
I'm also happy to report that even in the midst of all the chaos I've been creating lately (and trust me, it's been plenty) I'm really, really grateful for the life I have. I've had a look at some of the alternatives, and they're not pretty.
On that note, I'm moving tomorrow and will be without internet access for awhile. I'll begin posting as soon as Adelphia sees fit to connect me back to the internet.
Bye for now!

Wait, what day is it?!
T minus 42 hours til the big move. At least I got some stuff done today - the movers are hired, and all the utilities have been sorted. (Except for the high maintainance accounts whose web interface blows *cough* World Savings & SBC *cough*) The only problem, inevitably, is the cable-modem. My current tenants haven't shut off their account, and I can't open my account until they do. Plus an additional 7 days after that. Ah, procrastination, you're such a bitch. New blog nonwithstanding, it'll probably be really good for me to take an internet break and get my life in order in the new place. C'est la vie.
In other news, family drama is rearing it's ugly head. I'm trying not to reward bad behavior, but ignoring the situation only impacts other people who don't deserve it. I guess it's my own fault for not nipping the situation in the bud (yeah, universe I *hear* you already) but it just makes the tiresome holiday season even more, well, tiresome.
Chin up, big changes are always hard to deal with, but at least the inertia seems to be ending....

Denial ain't just.... Oh, you've heard that one.
So, I'm moving across town in..... 3 days. Which explains why this is the perfect time to work on my shiny new blog.
I haven't done fuck all to arrange the move yet, except for buying boxes to pack things in. (Did I mention the boxes are still in the trunk of my car?) The check I'll be using to pay the movers is 'in the mail - 5 business days!' and I haven't managed to switch over the utilities yet. Those of you who know how revoltingly organized I usually am must be wondering who the hell I am and where I've hidden Space Kitty's body.
This should be interesting. Do send positive vibes my way, and remind me what wonderful experiences I have to look forward to in my new home.

It's gotta be happy hour somewhere!
Welcome to SpaceKitty.com! Pour yourself a cocktail and make yourself at home.
It's interesting being on this side of the screen in blogger. *looks around* I usually comment on other blogs (you'll see many more links on the sidebar in a day or two) but this will be my first experience with writing a site.
I'm still figuring out how things work around here, both technically and with the direction of this site, so please be patient while construction is underway.
A profound thank you to the fabulous and talented Kimberly of squoogy.com. She's the webmistress who made this entire thing possible - any and all spiffy design work is due to her mad design skills.
Stay tuned!
